Margaret Lansink is a fine art photographer who works and lives in a tiny village just above Amsterdam. Lansink received a BA from the PhotoAcademy in Amsterdam and she studied for a year at LeMasterklass in Paris. Here her book ‘fear no more’ was met with great acclaim of Cecile Debray, art curator of Le Centre Pompidou.

Lansink participates in exhibitions, residencies and competitions in Holland and abroad. Her work has been shown in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Leiden, UK, New York, Vancouver, Japan, , Tbilisi, Kaunas and in her old hometown of Oldenzaal. Her work has been awarded the Dutch New Talent 2013, the Big Print Photo contest Amsterdam in 2015, Bronze Star Award for fine art book at ND Awards in 2016. In 2018 her work was shortlisted for Fotofilmic18 and Athens Photofestival and was part of Reclaim Photography Festival in Wolverhampton UK. Also this year her work will be exhibited in Arles (July & August) and Den Helder (Sept - Oct). She has (self-)published three books.

In 2016 she was also shortlisted for an AIR in Norway and has been rewarded with an AIR with the Kaunas Gallery in Lithuania (november 2016) and with Shiro Oni Studio in Japan (august 2017); both for her on-going project ‘the Art of Empathy / looking through the eyes of the other’.

Additionally, she often coaches young photographers in developing their signature and portfolio.
